In this Policy on the protection of personal data, we also inform you of your rights in connection with our processing of your personal data and of any transfer that we make of your personal data.

2. General statement on the field of use of this Policy on protection of personal data
This Policy on protection of personal data applies to our collection, use and processing of your personal data. We collect, use and process your personal data when you use our services as a customer or a potential customer. This includes when you use our websites or mobile apps, book our flights or other services, either yourself or via a third party (e.g. a travelling agency or another air carrier) or communicate with us via telephone, e-mail, social media or the like.

Please note that when you interact and/or communicate with another service provider, this Policy on protection of personal data does not apply. You are entitled to contact the relevant service provider to get information on the collection, use, processing and protection of your personal data by the service provider in question. Your personal data that is related to your interaction with these service providers and which is sent to or received by us as a part of our services is covered by this Policy on protection of personal data, however.

Great Dane Airlines is the “data controller” as regards processing of your personal data in accordance with this Policy on protection of personal data. That means that Great Dane Airlines is responsible for defining the purposes of and for processing your personal data and for observing the data protection legislation. 3. Processing of your personal data by Great Dane Airlines

3.1 Introduction
This Policy on protection of personal data explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal data when you use our services and in any other way interact with us as described below. It explains which data processing activities we perform, what their purpose is, which category of personal data these activities include as well as the legal basis for these processing activities.

3.2 Booking of your ticket or other services
When you order a flight or other products or services from Great Dane Airlines, you are asked to provide information such as your name, your telephone number, your e-mail address and your payment information where relevant if you have registered a profile with us. Depending on your specific booking information, you may be asked to provide additional information such as your passport number, your date of birth etc. When you ask for special assistance, e.g. a special diet or wheelchair assistance, you may also be asked to provide relevant sensitive information about your health.

When you change your booking or in any other way request other support from us, we process the above-mentioned personal data that we have collected from you. We use your name and your contact information to keep you informed of your bookings. This includes that we send you reminders via a text message or e-mails concerning your flight departure, e.g. information about check-in being open or information that the gate has been changed and notices on delays or cancellations, if any. Generally, your flight with us involves services that are provided by third parties and we disclose your name, your contact information and other relevant information where this is necessary for the third party in question. The purpose of these processing activities is to provide the products and services that you have booked with us.

You must also state your payment information (e.g. card number and expiry date) in addition to your other personal data to carry out your payment. This personal data, in particular your name, your address, your e-mail address and your IP address, is disclosed to our payment service providers so that we can receive your payment and implement your booking. If you ask to have your payment refunded, this personal data will also be processed.

To meet our legal obligations, we may disclose your personal data to e.g. your card issuer, the security service of the airport or the police. The personal data we process for this purpose may include your name, your address, your e-mail address, your IP address, your payment information and your passport information.

The information you have given us for the purpose of booking and administration of the booking is stored for up to 10 years until it is no longer necessary in order for us to protect and defend Great Dane Airlines.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data as described in this paragraph is your acceptance of the terms and conditions that apply to your booking with us and our legitimate interests in carrying on our business or that it is otherwise necessary for us to meet our legal obligations.

3.3 Registration of your profile and administration of your account
You are welcome to register your profile with Great Dane Airlines. It improves and simplifies your booking experience and makes it possible for us to present you with more relevant communication on the website and via other channels and it makes it possible for you to adjust how you want us to communicate with you. It also makes it possible for us to present you with more relevant communication on the website and via other channels. For these purposes, we collect your personal data such as your e-mail address, your postal address, your gender, your mobile telephone number and other information we ask for but which you need not give us.  After that, you get a personal user account on our website or in our mobile apps that you can access via your computer or your devices. Your profile data will be deleted at your request. You can ask to have your data deleted via your account page to which you have access when you are logged in. You can find more information on your rights in section 6.

3.4 Adaptation of your account
At Great Dane Airlines, we endeavor to personify our services and our communication and to ensure that they are more user-friendly. We want to give you an experience that is relevant for your personal preferences and needs. To be able to do this, we use data on how you use our digital services (website, e-mail, app etc.) in relation to other data we have on you to figure out what information you are likely to want to receive, how you want us to communicate with you, through which channels such communication is to take place and how often etc.

When you start a new booking, we may – depending on your previous bookings – automatically complete the booking form with your data that we collected the last time you made a booking. This includes e.g. the departure airport you searched for or departed from, your name and your contact information. The purpose of this processing is to simplify your booking process so that you can book quicker and in a simpler manner.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data as described in this paragraph is your acceptance of the terms that apply to your booking with us, your acceptance of the terms and conditions that apply to registration of your profile and our legitimate interests in carrying on and administering our business.

3.5 Customer service
Great Dane Airlines has different forms of customer service to be able to assist you. In order for us to provide customer service, we process your personal data with the purpose of identifying you and assisting you in the best possible manner. On our website, you can start a LiveChat and you can also contact us by telephone, e-mail, letter or via social media. When you communicate with us via one of these channels we take care of your inquiries, your questions and your feedback concerning our services. Depending on your inquiry, your question or your feedback, you may be asked to provide additional personal data such as your credit card number.

After you have contacted customer service, we examine the content of our communication with you, for example a recording of our communication with you in connection with the processing of your complaint. We do this to check the quality of the service we have provided to you. For this purpose, we may process your personal data such as your name and your contact information.

To maintain our service level, we may make a data test of our website and mobile apps when an error occurs or when changes are made to our system and this involves processing of your personal data. It enables us to carry out fault finding in our systems (to exclude technical errors) to show any changes that you or we have made and which are relevant to you, correctly, and to ensure that these websites and mobile apps function correctly.

We also prepare reports and statistics by analyzing the personal data you have given us such as your name and your contact information. The purpose is to improve our service and give you a better user experience the next time you make use of our services.
If we discover irregular activities on your account, we take the necessary measures. This may include processing of your personal data.

The information you have given us for the purpose of booking and administration of the booking is stored for 10 years until it is no longer necessary in order for us to protect and defend Great Dane Airlines.

3.6 Marketing
In order for you to get the most out of the offers we present to you, we send you or make you aware in other ways of the various activities and offers via e-mail, which may include newsletters, e-shots, unique offers based on your preferences or information on other special or seasonal offers. For this purpose we process your e-mail address, booking history and campaign participation history.
We may also send you offers that concern your coming flights via e-mail; for this purpose we process your e-mail address and booking history. In addition, we remind you via e-mail of your incomplete bookings and give you easy access to your incomplete bookings; for this purpose we process your e-mail address and data on your online behavior concerning your incomplete booking.

At Great Dane Airlines, we endeavor to be as relevant as possible to each individual customer across various digital channels. If you have visited our website, we may present you with relevant offers on other digital media based on your clicks on the website. For this purpose, we process anonymized IP addresses in cookies. When you visit our website without logging in to your user account, we use your online behavior to present relevant offers via our internet portals, our e-mail campaigns and other digital media. When you are logged in to your user account, we use the data you have registered with us, including booking and campaign participation history, online behavior and other data to endeavor to communicate with you in a manner that is as relevant as possible.

With a view to improving our communication with you, we also perform market surveys and this may be done e.g. by using your personal data to connect various sets of data. Personal data in analytical sets of data will always be deleted when the analysis has been performed.

You are free to delete your personal data so that it is no longer used for marketing by deleting your profile on your account page. As regards anonymous user cookies, they cannot be traced back to a specific person, but they will still be deleted in accordance with the practice in the trade or by you – see section 5 of this Policy on protection of personal data.

The legal basis for processing of your personal data is your consent and our legitimate interests in carrying on and improving our business. You can administer your consents to this processing when you register a profile with us or you can do so at a later time by clicking on the settings in your user account. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that has taken place on the basis of consent granted prior to the withdrawal.

4. This is the reason why Great Dane Airlines discloses personal data
We do not sell your personal data for marketing purposes to other businesses. We share your personal data only on the following conditions:

When a part of your booking includes a service that is provided by a third party, we may share your personal data with such third parties.

We share the data with our third-party service providers who perform acts or work on our behalf and on instructions from us in the role as data processor for the purposes that are stated in this Policy on protection of personal data.

We share the data to protect and defend Great Dane Airlines (including enforcement of terms and conditions in force).

We share the data with public authorities or governments when this is required in accordance with acts, provisions, legal processes or requests from authorities with enforceability.

In addition, we may share coupled data with our business partners and enterprises within our own group for various purposes, e.g. to improve our service and with a view to system administration, statistics, research and analysis.

If you do not want to provide us with your personal data we may not be able to provide the service you request or to inform you of other products and services that we offer.

If we ask to have your personal data made available to observe legal or contractual obligations, it is mandatory that you provide us with such data. If you do not provide us with the data we are not able to administer our contractual relationship or meet obligations imposed on us. Your personal data is stored in accordance with the provisions in the various sub-sections of section 3. You can at any time delete your user account on our website.

Transfer of personal data to a third country outside the EEA that does not provide sufficient protection will take place only if there are suitable security measures, e.g. in the form of binding company rules or acceptance of the EU standard contractual provisions or if the receiving party is certified in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield.
